This weeks Old School Friday is of Dani.
For this shoot I had rented the top of the line DSLR, Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II. My primary camera was the 20D so I was used to that camera. The weight of the 1ds mk II was great, felt good in my hands but I love my images warm and wanted to know if the camera could hold up. At first glance, I thought the images were TERRIBLE. Well, I mean terrible from the camera. I wasn’t impressed because of the dull colors. I was high in my arrogance that it couldn’t have been my fault or the crappy brown backdrop that I had. It was TOTALLY the cameras fault. I rented it on a Friday and didn’t have to return it till Monday afternoon.
Dani was the first model I shot (you’ll meet her soon on Meet the Models) Keeping true with the Old School Friday, these photos are terrible lol. Everything from connection to execution. Holding true to this category’s theme, I wish I could shoot her TODAY to compare. I did have other sessions with her but you’ll have to wait to see those. This was her first ever shoot and my 9th or 10th Colorado shoot. Sometimes when I post, people think I have an ego. Not the case, however, when I look at what and how I was shooting then, to now, yes, I think I deserve a pat on the back
